I usually have the tree up the day after halloween and my house is still empty and xmas is a month away and this SUCKS!. Anyways I need to know how to properly care for a real tree cause my last one was a mess and a nightmare at the end of xmas lol.. How long do they last? should i get one this weekend? what about this 7-up crap i keep reading about? please help :(

Keeping it watered is the big thing. We don't use a tree stand because they make watering difficult and messy. We use a bucket and put a tree skirt around it, and try to keep it at least half full of water. I suggest staying away from spruce trees, they start to smell like cat pee. But as long as you keep it watered it should be fine.

We usually put ours up the week before xmas and take it down the last week in Jan.

New Contest For Aspiring Tween Fashion Designers
If anyone has kids who are interested in breaking into the fashion industry, there’s a new online contest. You can find it at The Fashion Fantasy Game (http://www.fashionfantasygame.com/). It’s called the Jordin Sparks Jingle Dress Contest.

This contest was designed specifically for the Christmas season. Players can design their own virtual clothes in the game and engage in some friendly competition with other players. It's much better than having your kid go to the mall and waste your money on real clothes that will be out of style by next year.

Oh, and don't forget -- The Fashion Fantasy Game isn't just a game. It's also an open forum for discussion. If you have anything to say about Governor Blagojevich, feel free to say it while chatting, or just email it to User Feedback. I'm sure his name is easier to write than to say!
