Huggies Pull Ups

I am starting to potty train my son (he will be 3 in July) as he seems to be showing interest. I've always been a Pampers user, but when I got a coupon for Huggies Pull Ups with Cool Alert, I figured I would try them. After all, the little man knows when he going, but doesn't seem to get the signal that it is coming. Its been a lot of "I peeing...I peeing...I peeded."

Is it just me, or are the Pull Ups just a complete waste of money? They don't seem to hold the pee in at all! I feel like I might as well just be putting padded underwear on him for all they hold. And he certainly doesn't notice as "Cool Alert" happening. I really don't think he pees any more at once than a regular boy his age.

Anyone in the Ottawa area want a what's left of the bag of size 2-3T? There are about 30(ish) left from the bag of 44. I also have a full bag of size 4-5T because that's what I bought first, stupidly thinking that the Huggies sizes would be the same as Pampers (he wears a size 5 in Pampers).

I've just started putting him in underwear during the day. I figured out that if I put jogging pants on him too, then the pants soak up quite a bit of the pee so that I have less to clean up on the floor. I wish I could figure out a way to make the poo easier to clean up. Oh, the joys of potty training.

Seriously though, has anyone else had trouble with the Huggies Pull Ups (Cool Alert)?

I argee that Pull ups are a waste of time & money. My daughter just used them like diapers the cool never bothered her. I went straight to panties we went and bought cute pairs that she loved and told her that if she went poopy in them they would have to go in the garbage. She had a couple accident but when it came to throwing out her favourite princess pair she clued in.

If you can't find anyone for the pull ups you can always donate them to a womens shelter

They never worked for my son, he was always leaking. So when it was time for daughter we avoided them. Complete crap!
